Carb Flood

Has anyone experienced the carb flooding when you turn off the engine? If I turn it off and the try to start it within a half hour or so it is flooded and takes a lot of cranking. Any ideas? Thanks!

Flooding is most likely the carb fuel inlet needle not seating or is worn. Check the float level, check/clean the needle valve, the seat and the tab that the needle rides on the float.
After operation, the fuel pump is still pressurized (the gas pump dome is called a pulasator and is pressurized) at basically still at system pressure and can put additional fuel into the bowl if the needle leaks.
