SLAMMING auto dolley deal

Postby pfarber » Tue Oct 30, 2012 4:48 pm

Just pulled the trigger on 4 heavy duty auto dollies. They are rated at 10,000 for the set and were $157 with FREE shipping. These will laugh at a jeep, easily handle a Chevy, and you can buy another set of 2 to take on the heaviest CCKW.

Go to the second drop down and select the LARGE (16x16) set..

Bizrate seems to have a good review by their customers:

Eastwood, one of those "Professional" restoration shops sells the exact same thing.. but for just a little more:

Heavy Duty 16X16 Auto Dolly Set of 4

Item #21697

In Stock - Ready to Ship Today (I don't think so... Heavyweight- Special shipping charges may apply.
This item ships directly from the manufacturer. Please allow one to two weeks for delivery.
)

Only $269.99

And they DROP SHIP from Merrick, which means that I would pay freight (HEAVY ITEM) not from Pottstown, PA (69.5 miles away), but from Merricks shop in Nebraska, and STILL have to pay sales tax.

That's over $300 for (double what I just paid to have them shipped, for FREE from California to PA).

Gotta look around before you buy.... even Amazon wanted close to $300 for these things.

Never would have bought them at that price.

Paul,

I gotta agree with you about these dollies. Describing them as heavy duty is probably an understatement! Holy Cr@p! I think it's great that they're made back in Nebraska, not far from where I grew up.
