Epiphone Valve Jr.. 5w of tube goodness.

Been looking for small-ish tube amp for a while. I was going to pull the trigger on a VOX VT20X (I actually found one for $89 used) but I couldn't do it... I didn't want another solid state amp. So I started looking for < 10w tube amps.... found a LOT of great amps. All at about $500. Nope... can't do $500 for an amp at my current skill level.

So after another craigslist search I saw a few Epiphone Valve Jrs for sale... cheap. After some research I find out that they are decent amps (not universally loved, but overall had a good reputation and can easily be modified) and best of all, look cool as hell.

Low and behold my favorite music store, Guitar Center, listed a head and cab for $159! And only $22 to ship! And only $11 in tax! Total bill was $199. Better price than anything on ebay Reverb (really, fuck reverb.com) or Craigslist.

Found one on CL for $200 about an hour from my home.

So once the GC one shows up we'll see if its on better shape.. if not, GC return policy for the win!
