If you haven't gotten an SSD for your PC/Laptop now the prices are pretty good.

I just got at Amazon, a 240Gb Tier 1 (Anadtech.com, Tomshardware.com rated best) Mushkin 240Gb for $190 delivered.

The new 2013 NAND chips are going to make the old toggle-NAND chips pretty much second class devices... but at the typical 'new tech' price premium.

This fall (black friday/cyber monday) last gen SSDs will down to $0.50/Gb... the will basically be giving them away. But if you can't wait.. the above is about as good as it gets for the price.

SSD arrived today.

WOW.

I have a no shit boot time of 10 seconds. That's down from 3+ minutes. My windows Experience rating for the HDD is 7.8 (out of a 'perfect' 7.9).

If you want to upgrade an older PC... throw an SSD at it.

WOW.
