Steelsoldiers.com fail.

Steelsoldiers.com is filled with a bunch of school girls. I say this with complete confidence that the 'core' group of ass hats run to mommy whenever they don't like something.
Take the new 'Premium' membership. $15 for more PM space (really? Who have ever run out of Message space on a forum other than being lazy or stupid and not deleting 5 year old messages) and some mythical 'web-zine' of M-series articles written by members. Yeah... right.... let me know how many 'issues' are written before no one cares that it's a perk.
The biggest issue is that you must pay to post in the classifieds. So the original complaint was that people were reposting the same ads (for the same overpriced trucks) over and over. I've seen it.. a 1970 M35 plain jane truck for $6000 and no title is not going to sell... PERIOD. And people would sign up, post in the classifieds, and never 'contribute' (ie have 0 posts yet sell to the members). I don't see why this was ever an issue. People got the items they needed for a price they wanted to pay. Yet the sniveling twits that log in every 30 seconds complained to mommy and now the rule is you need a 'Premium' membership to post. This does two very, very bad things
First, I have 2 items that I KNOW other M35 owners would want: 150 gallons of free used motor oil and 3 275 gallon totes for like $60 each. Since I sold my M35 these are just taking up space. Now any M-35 guy with 1/10th a brain cell would be ALL OVER that deal. That's 3 tanks of fuel for free. Diesel is $4+ that almost $500 in fuel savings.
Yet there is no way in hell I am going to pay to give away the oil, nor to post the totes (that easily run $75-100 each).
So way to go idiots at SteelSoldiers.com Way to keep the people who are not vendors out of the site and to keep people for whom this truely IS a hobby from getting cheap parts from other MVers.
Idiots.
