Its was 50+ F today.. time to start tackling all those CCKW projects.
Started to strip the dumper for parts or restoration... still on the fence about which way to go.. A dumper would be cool, but my cargo is further along in the restoration.
Got 2 rear axle tires off. Easier said than done. MAPP torch, penetrating fluid, air gun, hammer, saws-all you name it. Even TJ the motorpool sgt was helping... well, he was laying on the air line in case it tried to make a get-a-way.
Should the driver side lugs be left hand threads? Took me a while to figure out that they were. I know the jeeps are, but they are labeled with an L (the stud is) and the nuts have notches to indicate left hand threads.
Also.. anyone have a good source for a BIG screwdriver for the countersunk screws that hole the drum to the axle? Are they on the budd type lug wrenches?
