Civvie to Deuce

[WWII TRUCK]

I know where there is a nice 1946 GMC Farm truck with, I am wondering if I can give it a Deuce look by changing the sheet metal on the front using surplus fenders fenders hood and grill, that way I can have a faster truck to go to shows with. New Hampshire has a big one in the summer and I wouldn't have to push the truck as hard as the ones with army gearing. The truck already has a tandem axle that the farm added, it is a dead axle.
