I was looking for pictures of T-2 fuel bowls to look at the decals and ran across the gem:

There are Zenith 0-9778 without sight plugs however, thru rebullds it is possible for some to have the bowl GM 2143816 with and without the Fuel Bowl Checking Plug aka as GM 2196082 Sight Plug. The bowls with and without the plug are same part number.
The bowl was later changed to GM 2198543 w/plug. By assuming "your bowl just has to be right" you can be in big trouble as that same bowl fits various Brockway, Diamond T, and GMC from the 1940-1942 1/2 ton truck thru various larger GMC trucks of the period. Only those for the 270 will have the correct venturi.
You can consult the TM10 or SNL for your truck to resarch the Jets the jets and Venturu in your Float Bowl.
How many 180's do YOU count?
"The bowls with and without the plug are same part number."
THE NEXT SENTENCE
"The bowl was later changed to GM 2198543 w/plug"
hahahahahahahahahaha So what is the part number for the bowl that was 'before the change' but WITH the sight plug? hahahahahahahahaha
I got him talking in circles hahahahaha
Venturi? How many 28AV11's use the 'proper' 270 venturi? I count 4. If you go by the ACTUAL carb model (Model 28) there are 6.
Ever wonder how the post whore in chief got to 20,000+ posts on the G???? Its with gems like this that say NOTHING yet get that post counter to add one to the total. I bet if the counter could filter the bullshit, errors and blathering he'd be down around 200 INFORMATIVE posts.
hahahahahahahahahah
