Posts not appearing immediatly

During one of the phpbb3 updates one of the modifications that I use to automatically move users to different groups was deleted. Since all the forums were set up relying on these higher privilege groups, users that were added in that 'missing mod period' were having all their posts go through moderation, and not appearing immediately.

I have reinserted the mod, and hopefully it should allow posts to appear if you have passed the first 5 post moderation requirement.

If you have more than 5 posts, and your posts are not appearing immediately, email deadline@tm9-801.com.

The number of posts you have made is listed under Total posts: in your User Control Panel.

Nothing nefarious was being done to any user... if any post was not approved, they were notified as to why. And I don't edit user posts. I may delete it, but will always post why.

I've also added a way to be notified much quicker of posts needed approval... hopefully this will allow the posts to appear as the users permissions say they are.

My post in the MV show section was indeed edited. Things were inserted into what I posted that I did not write even though the data at the top of the posting (date etc.) show it came from me.

This is greatly troubling and I have never had this done on any other discussion site or pro board I post on. I fear that this could happen again and I cannot control what may be put in my post...data and numbers could be changed and even profanity or slurs could be added and it would appear that it originated from me.

Because of this I have refrained from posting very valuable information and photos on several discussions.

I would ask the owner of this site to give me assurance that this will not happen again and under no circumstances will my posts be changed , added to or edited.

First, WHAT POST?

Second, before making such statements of PM me. I unless you can elaborate (ie WHAT POST?) I cannot address your concern. I have NOTHING to hide. But you can't just say 'you did this' and then not say what 'THIS' is.

So, since this is the second time I am accused of editing a post, WHAT POST?!?!

Yes, I did add my comments to your post. My pfarber account has moderator status, and gives me an edit button for EVERY post. I must have inadvertently hit edit rather than quote, and therefore made edits directly to the JGilmore post.

That was my mistake. I didn't even realize it. If you think that i INTENTIONALLY edit other peoples posts to make myself look good, then you need to read these forums.. they are full of my mistakes... spelling and otherwise.

I will go though the moderator priv's and see if I can remove the edit option for my moderator account.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.. I was wondering why people were telling me that i edits posts... I don't intentionally do that.

Fixed it. I have to remain in the moderator group, but I will no longer be able to accidentally hit the edit button on another users post.

Those symbols are DELETE POST | REPORT POST | WARN USER | POST INFORMATION | QUOTE POST

The edit button is gone (for my own safety).
