Lots of good info in this picture. The caption was that this motor was salvaged from another, damaged CCKW.
Looking at the painted parts is does show that the fill tube IS NOT black, yet the oil fill tube cap and air filter are.
From picture there does appear to be at least different SHADES (or dare I say colors?) from the valve cover, cylinder block and head.
