Show was pretty good.
First day (Friday) didn't sell a thing, but everyone asked about an original 1942 inner/outer windshield I was selling for $150. It was not perfect, but anyone with a modest garage could have gotten it into shape quickly. One guy said that I was ripping people off asking for $150 when the inner windshield frame was rusted. I told him that rust in that location was a known issue with originals and if the windshield was in perfect condition would I really only be asking $150 for it?
I also had a GPW hat channel (MD Juan) for $100. Never installed but had a little surface rust due to storage for about 6 years. Was told that $100 was way to much. I pointed out that Bensinger, AJP and DeBella would HAPPILY sell them the exact same part for more.
Saturday was the big day. One guy bought all the jeep sheet metal I had except the hat channels (he had already bought a set). I also traded part of a CCKW spare tire carrier for a data plate (more to come on that). The carrier was missing the latch, the handle, and the hinge that bolted to the frame... so it was a 'handy man special'. I'm just glad I won't have to move it to get to my other CCKW parts. Sold the windshield to another guy. Had a few people come back that looked at it Friday asking if it was sold.
I did get some parts... some 'grasshopper' wiper arms for the Chevy, some uber rare terne plated seals for the rear axle of the Chevy, a CCKW data plate from truck SN 34769 DoD is a little hard to read.
All in all not a bad 2 days. Weather held out. TJ and Yeager (my Yellow Labs) had a good time and everyone loved them.... Yellow labs know how to work a crowd.
I got a Mountain Cur and a ~~pitbull~~ big loveable cuddle puppy
