Door skin and sill patch panels... GREAT PRICE

For what ONE side would cost from a US vendor this guy is selling BOTH sides.

Make it worth it just to try it out.

Paul,

I'm guessing that you're referring to JCTP?? I dont know what he's selling now, but when I bought my patch panels, they replace the whole bottom of the door, clear up the the belt line, so you don't have the problem of the seam right in the middle of the panel... I gotta say that those are some really attractive prices, including the inner door bottoms and also the cowl corners!

Yeah.. Carter and Chevys of the 40s all seem to have the same patch panels.. at the same price.

I have a second set of doors to play with... my 'primary' doors can be leaded good enough to fix up. But the other two are shot at the typical places.

But for the price getting even one set to play with would be worth it even for the learning experience... I think I can weld them and not warp them.. and if not oh well its only $100 of so to find out.

Cost for TWO sets (L&R) delivered is $178.17. That just about half of what the stateside vendors are charging for ONE set on ONE side (for the small outer skin panel, not the 2/3rd length one).

Its VERY hard to tell the difference between the inner door panels but Carters and Chevys of the 40s parts *look* like one peice whereas the TCS Coachworks panel is two, welded together. Not a big deal to me.. no one is ever gonna see it. If you wanted you could always make a cut and butt weld the two into one... good luck with that not warping :D

My plan is to repair one of my 'B' doors (the only issue is the amount of rust compared to my 'A' doors) and if good enough.. sell the 'A's.. there is a never ending demand for chevvy doors.

Door skins showed up today. They look OK. The bottom sill is two parts plug welded together (really??? A spot welder from HF is like $100) but seems strong I'm not sure if I'm thrilled about the two parts or not. The outer skins are pre-bent 90deg to help with folding them over the bottom sill. Would have been nice if they were bent over center but for $178 for two doors worth of panels its a tradeoff.

I'll be doing my 'B' doors as the rust on my 'A' doors can easily be fixed with lead or bondo and some rust encapsulating paint.

My camera is still full of sandblasting grit so I'll have to rely on my cell phone... its OK for photos but not videos.
